The current Mitsubishi L200 (launched in 2004) is set to be replaced by an all-new model that we’ve already seen bearing a Triton badge.
The all-new version will debut across Europe and the UK in later this year, but before then the manufacturer will most likely be doing deals to try to get rid of its stock of old models.
That sounds like the thinking behind the L200 Challenger, a version exclusively available in the UK, where it starts at £16,499. It sounds like a great deal, especially since you’re promised a “fully-loaded” vehicle for the price.
It gets a 175 hp 2.2-liter diesel engine, all-wheel drive, stability control, alloy wheels, climate control, rain and light sensor, Bluetooth and privacy glass among others.
Another advantage it has (over its competitors) is the comparably long warranty that stretches to 5 years or 125,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Order books opened on January 1st.
