We knew it as a rumor, but now we have photographic proof that Ford will unveil a hardcore Mustang Shelby GT350R at the Detroit Auto Show today.
The image shows a fixed rear wing in black, which was absent from the base Shelby GT350 Mustang that had its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
We don’t have any other details in our hands yet, but along with the added aerodynamic aids, the “R” model is expected to get a revised chassis and quite possibly, a bit more power under the hood.
As a reminder, the base GT350 Mustang has an atmospheric 5.2-liter V8 with “more than 500hp and 400 lb-ft of peak torque”, according to the Blue Oval.
