Nowadays, you can’t call yourself a Porsche collector and not own the amazing 918 Spyder. It just doesn’t happen. Even Jerry Seinfeld had to have one.
So what can be better than owning the 918? We’d imagine not too many other things, but having it sit on HRE wheels sounds with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires sounds pretty awesome to us. And what better way to promote your product than having the car pose for the camera while the sun is setting.
We were already treated to some amazing images when HRE showed us that blue Aventador last week, but could this black Porsche 918 Spyder be even better?
At the front, the alloys measure 20 by 9.5 inches, while at the back they’re 21×12.5 inches. One thing is for certain, they are gorgeous and you’d almost feel sorry for putting those wheels to work when you start using all of the 887 available HP.
As for the Weissach Package, it’s that good old ‘pay more for less‘ Porsche motto, where you gain speed by losing weight. Carbon trim is present throughout the car, both inside and outside on the bumpers, rear wing, mirrors and front window frames.
In the end we’re talking about a 40kg loss, which translates into a faster 0-62 mph time by about 0.2 seconds (2.6 seconds). However it will get to 124 mph (200km/h) half a second quicker than the standard model and it will take 2.1 seconds less in order to reach 186 mph (300km/h).
