Having launched less than two years ago, to commemorate the model’s 40th anniversary, the 911 Turbo is by no means an old car. However, truth be told, a mid-life facelift for the 991 range isn’t far off.
Even so, the Turbo and Turbo S still sit at the top of the 911 ziggurat and they come with a lot of new features like a new all-wheel drive system, rear-axle steering, active anti-roll system, dynamic engine mounts and adaptive aero aids.
Sadly, for the purists, the stick-shift is gone, making way for the seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Combined with the Sport Chrono package that’s optional in the 513hp (520PS) Turbo and standard in the 552hp (560PS) Turbo S, it helps them accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.2 and 3.1 seconds respectively.
Porsche has just released an official video of both 911 Turbo variants, in which it highlights not just its performance and handling but their safety features, too, and you can view it after the virtual jump.
