Rolls Royce is flourishing as its sales numbers show. These have been going constantly up for the last five years, so 2014 was marked by yet another record: 4,063 cars sold, but the number would probably be much higher with an SUV in the range…

According to Torsten Muller-Otvos, the CEO of Rolls Royce, the brand has still yet to decide whether it will make one or not. The model is on the table at the moment, but its fate is not certain – they’d probably have abandoned the idea if rivals from Bentley had not gone through with a similar project.

Either way, a decision will be taken in the course of this year, but you can imagine what kind of impact an SUV would have on sales – it’d probably end up being their most popular model.

The Rolls CEO talked about the SUV in the video over on the BBC site.
