Skoda has employed the skills of Portuguese graffiti artist Armando Gomes to turn its new Fabia hatch into a work of art on four wheels.
The multi-coloured Fabia ‘Street Art’ is a one-off creation made to promote the new supermini’s customization options that include 125 color combinations achieved through a selection of 15 base body paints that can be combined with a number of different shades for the roof, A-pillars, door mirror caps and wheels.
The 31-year-old artist from Lisbon said he created the Fabia in several stages, starting by applying lines and geometrical shapes to the body before spray-painting the surfaces in different colors.
“The creation of the vehicle as a work of art underlines the brand’s aspirations for emotional resonance,” commented Skoda board member Werner Eichhorn. “We are really pleased about our collaboration with renowned graffiti artist Armando Gomes. This fresh and unusual project demonstrates that we are conducting our model campaign with new, creative ideas.”
