Now here’s something a little bit more interesting from Subaru than the U.S. market limited-run XV Crosstrek Special Edition announced the other day.
At the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon (January 9-11), Subaru unwrapped the XV Sport Concept painted in the same “Sunrise Yellow” as the U.S. model, but upgraded with an assortment of parts.
Most notably on the outside is the matte black roof, the aero-kit with carbon fiber inserts, spoilers and diffusers, the new black front grille and the matching color 17-inch alloy wheels on 225/55 sport tires all around.
The same color theme is continued inside, but in reverse, with black being the main shade and yellow taking a secondary role with the stitching and the trims. The XV Sport Concept also has Alcantara seats and door panel inserts.
According to Subaru, the 150PS 2.0-liter boxer engine remains intact, with the only change under the sheetmetal being the re-tuned sports suspension.
H/T to Clement!
