Images of the facelifted Kia Picanto (sold as Kia Morning in South Korea and other Asian markets) have surfaced in Korean media ahead of the car’s debut at the Geneva Auto Show this spring.
The refreshed Kia Picanto city car features a discreet exterior makeover including revised bumpers and fog light units, a restyled “Tiger Nose” grille and new alloy wheels. Inside, the car appears to be largely the same as before, with the exception of upgraded materials. The facelifted Picanto is also expected to offer more features, including an updated infotainment system and a DAB radio similar to the one in the facelifted Rio and Venga.
No other details were released, except that the facelifted Picanto may receive a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing around 100hp. The naturally aspirated 1.0- and 1.2-liter three-cylinder units offered in the current model will carry on.
The facelifted Picanto will arrive in Europe shortly after the Geneva debut in March and in the UK in the second quarter of 2015.
