Not many people can say they designed and built their own supercar, but Luke Richards from California is one of them. His dream car has always been one that would combine American muscle and European maneuverability and he says he was able to accomplish it.
The Lucra LC470, as his creation is called, is a supercar capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just under 3 seconds and with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h). Starting from $96,000, the hand-built roadster has a carbon fiber bodywork and weighs just 2,000 lbs (907 kg), despite packing a V8 engine.
Customers can choose between two V8 options, a Mercedes-AMG 6.3-liter or a GM LS3 6.3-liter. Optionally, a GM LS7 7.0-liter V8 is also offered. Each car takes about eight weeks to build and is customized according to the owner’s wishes. Scroll down to find out more about this rare supercar from the following video courtesy of Barcroft Cars.
