Finding a 1990 car with an extremely low mileage may seem like an impossible task, but “miracles” like these do happen from time to time.
Take this 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 that has only covered 127 miles (204 km) since coming out the factory gates. Painted Bright Red with a black interior, this ZR1 is “in wonderful condition”, according to the seller.
Built as a tribute to the special ZR1 high performance package available for 1970-1972 Corvettes, the ZR1 package for the Corvette C4 was a serious racing package featuring the 375hp LT1 aluminum-block V8 engine designed by Lotus, which also helped GM with the active suspension system called the FX3.
Lotus also engineered an exclusive air-management system that allowed the engine to shut off eight of the sixteen fuel injectors and intake runners when the engine was at part throttle.
Compared to regular Corvette C4s, ZR1 models had wider rear wheels and the center rear stop lamp located on the roof. They also had a valet key which allowed the owner to reduce output to 200 hp.
This particular car is very likely the lowest mileage Corvette C4 ZR1 on sale and is currently listed on eBay with an unknown reserve price. Current bidding is $31,100, but the reserve price has not been met. On the seller’s website, the car is listed for $47,995.
