The Datsun 510 is a great base to build a nice driver’s car. You can opt to do it the Japanese way and invest in getting the feel perfect or you can slap in a new turbocharged engine and go from there.
With good brakes and tires, as well as beefier suspension out of more modern cars, it can be done quite successfully – you can turn it into pretty much what you want by choosing to replace specific components.
This very blue example is a bit scary with around 350 hp, but according to Matt Farah, you can build a rhythm with it once you get a feel for its characteristics.
