The Ford Model T is often misrepresented by statements suggesting its only real merit is that it happened to roll off an ingenious production line. It actually drove very decently for what it was and the era and it did have some strong points.
Now it couldn’t be called comfortable by modern standards, but its ride was more than bearable and while the pedals did not do what you expected them to, they were fairly easy to operate understand.
XCar took red example built in 1915 for a test drive revealing its many qualities. It looks excellent, even if it’s 100 years old, and it probably offers a notably amplified sense of speed over something modern (with a much lower seating position).
Driving one close to its advertised top speed of 40-45 mph (64-72 km/h) seems like a daring thing to be tried, as is demonstrated in the video below.
