The most practical vehicles Audi does are its crossovers and estates, but the brand doesn’t really have a fully practically-minded MPV-like model in its range. It has nothing to rival the new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer or the Mercedes B-Class.
One way they could solve that gaping hole in their lineup would be to make a “Plus” version of the A3 hatch (or the Sportback and give it seven seats too). The vehicle you see rendered here is a five-seater, but it accurately depicts what this more family-friendly A3 could look like.
Yep, it’s a boring box with LEDS, but that’s probably how Audi would choose to do it anyway. Or they could choose to revive the bubbly style of the aluminum-bodied A2 supermini MPV’
