Buick has refreshed its China-only Excelle GT model both inside and out, as well as give it a completely revamped engine lineup. The revised model looks sleeker and gets the option of a dual-clutch transmission for the first time.
The seven-speed DCT gearbox can only be had with the more powerful of the two new engines: the 1.4-liter turbo, with 140 hp; the other new power unit is a 1.5-liter with 113 hp mated to a conventional six-speed self-shifter.
Exterior changes include completely new front and rear fascias, which we say give the car a much classier appearance than before, especially at the back where it had some awkward chrome strips that are now gone.
Inside, the dash design is all-new, it seems, and it features a large touchscreen display plus obligatory fake wood and (probably faux-) metal trim.
Pricing is said to remain pretty much the same, despite the fact it gets new engines and that clever dual-clutch transmission too.
