Kia has given its US market Rio a mid-life makeover for the 2016 model year. The refreshed (sedan or) hatch model was just unveiled in Chicago sporting new front and rear fascias, as well as a more foam-packed A- and B-pillars for extra noise, vibration and harshness protection.
There are also a couple of new paint options, called Urban Blue and Digital Yellow.
Inside, the changes are hardly noticeable – who’d spot the new satin-finished bezels for the air vents or the different pieces of plastic trim around the audio system?
The trim packs remain the same and the engine remains the same too – a 1.6-liter with 138 hp which can be paired either to a manual six-speed or an auto with the same number of gears.
The revised Rio should be hitting showrooms pretty soon; check out photos of the hatch in the gallery below!
