Do you remember the last Fast and Furious movie-based game? We hope you don’t because it was by all accounts dreadful. That’s why this time round they’re not starting a new game from scratch but rather releasing a standalone package based on Forza Horizon 2.
It’s even going to be developed by Turn 10 Studios and will be made available for download for free as of March 27. It’s only free at the very start, and as of April 1 you’ll have to give $10 for it.
Interestingly, you won’t have to own the game (Horizon 2) and you’ll be able to download and play it separately.
As for details, well, the action will be set in southern France, although new locations have been crafted and added, and you’ll be taking your missions from a digital rendition of rapper/actor Ludacris. He’ll task the player with collecting various cars for him, cars which fans of the movie series should immediately recognize – there will be 11 cars in total, so don’t think this will be more than a two-hour experience.
We really don’t know what to expect with this one, but it is in good hands as far as development goes – lets just hope Universal Partnerships & Licensing leaves most of the decision making up to Turn 10.
