Maybe it’s the color, maybe (definitely) it’s the bodykit, but this might be one of the best looking SLS AMG’s we’ve ever seen.
It’s still a little less aggressive visually than an SLS Black Series, yet somehow it looks meaner. We love the red-black contrast, the new fascia featuring a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes, the blacked out grille, the blacked out hood vents, new side skirts as well as the set of 21″ ADV.1 wheels.
There’s also a new rear diffuser, giving this car a very different look than the one you get from your typical Merc SLS AMG custom job.
What’s especially cool about this car now (yes, besides pretty much everything), is the fact that it’s become sort of a dinosaur in the supercar kingdom. It’s the modern day forbidden fruit. There’s no fancy hybrid powertrain, no twin turbo engine, just a big, screaming naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 engine, powerful enough to take this car from 0 to 62 mph in less than 4 seconds.
When it first came out, the SLS seemed a bit unnecessary with its pretentious looks and muscle car performance. But now, 5 years later it stands as a modern-day classic, a hell of a lot more appealing visually than the ‘prettier’ AMG-GT.
