It has been nearly two months since we have seen the highly anticipated 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS completely undisguised. Now, Axis of Oversteer has recently leaked the alleged performance figures of the upcoming ultimate track-focused 911 ahead of its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show.

There have been a lot of rumors revolving the Porsche GT3 RS, including the possibility of the first GT3 model to feature a turbocharged engine. What’s more, some outlets suggested that Porsche could possibly offer a traditional manual gearbox in the GT3 RS to satisfy Porsche purists that desire a more raw and visceral driving experience.

According to a number of leaked documents shared on Axis of Oversteer, here’s what we know:

The new Porsche GT3 RS will not have forced induction. Instead, the naturally aspirated 4.0 liter flat-six engine now unleashes a total of 500 horsepower and 340 lb.-ft. of torque. The latest all-aluminum dry sump direct injected flat-six motor is all about high-end response and is capable of climbing to an unreal 8800 rpm redline. That said, the previous GT3 RS 4.0 already delivers 493 horsepower, which makes the output of the new GT3 RS rather conservative.

While Porsche managed to keep the GT3 RS pure with a non-turbocharged power unit, it looks like the Stuttgart automaker will not be offering a manual transmission after all. The seven-speed automatic PDK gearbox will be the only offering in the GT3 and GT3 RS range.

The biggest differentiating factors between the standard Porsche GT3 and GT3 RS lies in the chassis, weight and aero. According to the spec sheet, the GT3 RS will be 1.4 inches wider than the standard GT3. Specifically, the GT3 body features aggressive 50 mm fender flares in the front and 30 mm flares in the rear to accommodate a wider tire setup. The front carbon fiber composite flares also features enormous vents that release the high pressure area in the wheel well.

A staggered wheel setup means 9.5-inch wide 20-inch wheels wrapped in 265-section tires in the front and 12.5-inch wide 21-inch wheels with 325-section tires in the rear. The rear features an upgraded multi-link suspension with an integrated auxiliary spring. Six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes bite into 15-inch carbon brake discs all around.

Other significant changes to the exterior include a front lip, a full carbon fiber front lid, a magnesium roof, and integrated air intakes at the rear. The GT3 RS also features a restyled fixed rear wing made out of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. In fact, the weight-saving project is so extensive that even the front and side windows are made from polycarbonate.

Inside, the weight-consciousness continues. The bucket seats are Alcantara with thin padding and a hard carbon fiber shell. Lightweight door panels also features opening loops that replace door handles.

Finally, interesting option packages include a “Clubsport” package, which include a bolted roll cage, a battery disconnect switch, a 6-point harness for the driver, and finally a motorsports fire extinguisher fastened to an aluminum bracket. Another unique option available on the GT3 RS is a “Pit Speed” switch that restricts the top speed at the flick of a button, a useful feature for driving enthusiasts that will use their car for club track days and race circuit events.

Stay tuned to more Porsche 911 GT3 RS updates in the days ahead of the Geneva Motor Show.
