This has got to be the most daring (to use a politically correct term) recreation of the famous painting “Washington Crossing the Delaware” .
For those of you who don’t know what that is about, the painting commemorates General George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River on the night of December 25–26, 1776, during the American Revolutionary War.
It’s an important event in U.S. history, as it was the first move in a surprise attack against the Hessian forces, known as the Battle of Trenton. Ram Trucks and Sports Illustrated have thought about recreating Emanuel Leutze’s famous painting using a pickup truck towing a trailer with a boat full of… swimsuit models.
I must admit I don’t quite get the meaning of publicity stunt, but the very fact that the video is here for you to see means it has reached its purpose.
