This sporty alloy wheel is all Renault Sport is showing of a new Trophy model that will debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
No details were offered, but the most obvious “suspect” is the Clio RS, which doesn’t have a Trophy version (the Megane RS does). The Clio RS Trophy would be a more extreme version of the standard Clio RS aimed at rivals like the Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport (previously known as the 208 GTi 30th Anniversary Edition).
If indeed we’re talking about a Clio-based model, Renault Sport will probably give it more power and track-focused components. Among these there could be a manual gearbox, which has been requested by fans ever since the Clio RS launched exclusively with a double-clutch EDC transmission.
Expect more details and teasers in the coming days as we approach the car’s Geneva debut.
