Czech carmaker Skoda reportedly goofed up and mistakenly published the first full images of their all-new Superb ahead of the car’s scheduled debut tonight.
The third generation of Skoda’s flagship model takes design inspiration from last year’s daring VisionC concept car, though unfortunately, the study’s sexy rear end with the sloping window and boot line didn’t make the cut.
Skoda had previously released an image of the new Superb’s dashboard, which looks like it’s a step above the outgoing model, with an elegant design and promises of improved quality and functionality.
Built on the VW Group’s MQB platform that can be found under anything from a Golf to an Audi TT and more importantly, the latest Passat, which is the Superb’s closest relative and one of its rivals in Europe, the Skoda model will offer several powertrains, including 1.4-liter, 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged petrols, and 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter diesels. Skoda may also offer a 1.4-liter Plug-in Hybrid model.
