Part by part, we’re getting to know Chevy’s next-gen 2016 Camaro, as after what many believe to be the headlamps of the production car, we have a picture of the car’s side.
Someone with more knowledge of the manufacturing process and respective tools than me might want to chip in, but this image appears to depict one of the dies upon which the single, rear half section of the side body panel is stamped on before it moves on the next die.
The reason why we think it shows the next Camaro is the lack of the three cosmetic gills ahead of the rear fender of the current car, along with the much larger distance between the rear quarter window and the fender crease as well as the more tapered roofline, as seen on recent prototypes.
