If you like what Icon does to the 1970s Ford Bronco SUV, but are more into British vehicles than American, then you have a way of getting what you want. There’s a company in the UK called Twisted which specializes in all things Land and Range Rover.
They’ll do anything from restore your Land Rover up to factory spec (or better, usually) and you can also add modifications and refiniements to the vehicle as well. You can even specify an LS3 Corvetter V8, but that can only be had with a slew of other upgrades dealing with the suspension, steering, tires and brakes.
The story of Twisted is definitely a cool one, as it’s a business started on the pure passion of the (now) owner.
Their top-spec model, called the T80 is, for all intents and purposes, a Land Rover version of the Mercedes G63 AMG, complete with all the necessary upgrades to keep you from understeering into a tree – you’ve got to love that plus the promise that even after the current Defender is phased out, the company will still continue what it’s currently doing, and maybe launch a model (similar to the Defender) of its own (?).
