Ram already showed us the 2015 1500 Rebel this year at NAIAS, so it’s only natural that it would also be part of their NY Auto Show lineup, since you know, it can’t all be about fast cars and cool concepts.
Those who enjoyed the Ram 1500 Rebel in Detroit will definitely enjoy hearing about its air suspension, 17″ aluminum wheels, skid plates, tow hooks and especially the blacked out front grille with the massive “RAM badge” smack in the middle.
The profile features black Power Wagon wheel-arch moldings, flat-black badge, mirrors and lower body panels which give this pick-up truck a really rugged look – which by the way, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still pay attention to the rocks you’re climbing over or who knows what.
Either way, odds are you won’t keep your truck “pretty” forever.
The increased height (1 extra inch) should help improve its off-road capabilities, so at least you got that going for you. It’s all thanks to the exclusive air suspension system, helping you take advantage of all your horsepower – which can either by 305 HP coming from a 3.6 liter V6 or better yet, 395 HP from the mouth of the fire-breathing 5.7 liter HEMI unit.
Even though this may not be the type of car New Yorkers are usually interested in (not that the NY Auto Show is just for locals, but you get the idea), there’s no way Ram would ever show up to such an event without one of the best selling trucks (or cars for that matter) in America.
Correction: A previous version of this article mistakenly referred to the 1500 as a Dodge Ram
