Ford’s next-gen GT supercar made the trip from the US to Europe unchanged, but the Blue Oval had some news up its sleeve in Geneva.
For starters, we learned that the GT will be “one of the most exclusive Ford vehicles ever with limited volume sold around the world” and by that, Ford means 250 units a year.
During the company’s press conference in Geneva, Ford’s Head of Product Development Raj Nair also revealed that, “price wise, we will be facing cars like the Lamborghini Aventador”, which should translate to a $350,000 – $400,000 MSRP in the United States, and around £250,000 in the UK.
Nair added that Ford has set its sights on the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren with the new GT, which is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost delivering over 600hp. Sales of the GT will begin worldwide next year.
