German tuner ABT Sportsline has released a styling and performance package for the all-new VW Passat, which will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show.
The body kit added by ABT makes the Passat look more dynamic, thanks to the addition of front and rear spoilers, grille and side skirt attachments, as well as new mirror caps and rear skirt.
The styling of the VW Passat is further enhanced via new 20-inch ABT FR alloy wheels shod with Continental sport-type tyres. ABT offers a wide range of other cast and forged wheels including the DR design offered in a 21-inch size.
The tuner also fitted suspension springs that are said to optimize handling. But the most significant performance tweaks took place under the hood, with the VW Passat’s 240PS (237hp) 2.0-liter biturbo diesel boosted to produce 280PS (276hp).
“With our specially developed ABT Engine Control unit with its own software, this latest uprating provides utmost power, balance and dependability. Extensive tests on our own dynamometer and on the road and comprehensive follow-up warranties attest to our product’s quality,” says CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt.
