Even though we’ve seen the Vantage GT3 in previous videos and have already heard it start up its engine, this clip gives us a sneak peak at what it really sounds like on the prowl.
The Vantage GT3 is limited to just 100 units, but that just makes it even more special, since GT3 race car-inspired Astons deserve to be properly recognized for being massively different compared to something that a Premier League football star drives on his way to the nightclub.
So if different is what you’re looking for, then rest assured that a track-oriented 600 PS V12 Aston will brighten your day as soon as you even stare at your car keys.
Performance-wise, it will need just 3.7 seconds in order to get from 0 to 62 mph (100km/h), before topping out at 185 mph (297 km/h). Those aren’t exactly state of the art supercar numbers, since for example a 488 GTB would obliterate it by nearly a full second in a quick sprint off the line. But that’s not what the Vantage GT3 stands for really.
This car was meant to get more Aston Martin customers to fall in love with the company’s racing heritage, which is something that your typical Vantage S Coupe wasn’t really doing all that well.
Plus, even with the weight reduction (100kg lighter than S Coupe), it’s still a lot heavier than most of its rivals.
Regardless, we love everything about it, from the looks, to the specs, and of course all the new mods Aston Martin’s engineers implemented.
