A snapshot of a schedule from a BMW Internet Market Workshop confirmed something we already knew – the upcoming M2 Coupe, and something we were suspecting – the M4 GTS.
There’s nothing else that the picture, which was originally shared on Bimmertoday before finding its way on the 2Addicts forum, can tell us about the two models.
From previous papers, we learned that the M2 Coupe will enter production this November. It will get a modified body and chassis with power coming from a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine believed to deliver around 380 horses.
The M4 GTS is a bigger mystery, even though we suspect that BMW has been testing the vehicle under the guise of a lightly camouflaged MotoGP Safety Car with some minimal aerodynamic add-ons like the front lip spoiler and fixed rear wing.
There’s a very strong possibility that the M4 GTS will also be lighter and feature BMW’s propriety “water boost system” featured on the Geneva Motor Show M4 MotoGP Safety Car Concept that was confirmed for production and which uses water injection tech to improve performance of the straight-six turbo.
Thanks to Declan for the heads up!
