It’s no secret some of Cadillac’s most recent auto show launches have featured products aimed squarely at the German luxury establishment. They’re headed to the Geneva Motor Show and taking some American sass with them.
Over the last few days, the Cadillac Europe Twitter account has been poking fun at Audi, BMW and Mercedes on a sort of road trip to Switzerland, with added stops in Germany.
Geneva will be the first overseas outing for new products like the 2016 ATS-V coupe and sedan, launched in November at Los Angeles, and the 2016 CTS-V that bowed in January in Detroit. And at both their respective launches, Cadillac’s CEO Johan de Nysschen made no mistake General Motors’ luxury brand is pitching these performance sedans squarely at AMG and M models.
That’s reflected in the tweets below, but we’re interested to hear what Cadillac drops at Geneva on Tuesday.
Guten Tag, @MercedesAMG. Stopped by to practice our German, but it looks like you’ve left for #SIAG. See you there! pic.twitter.com/OMNISxjkqG
