If you’re driving a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, odds are that you’re not afraid of a little competition on the drag strip, or anywhere else for that matter. Sometimes though, you need to have your wits about you.
It appears that this Hellcat owner got played into racing this particular Chevy pickup truck – which to be fair does seem like a layup for the all-mighty 707 PS Challenger.
The thing is, the Chevy lost intentionally on the first attempt, only to hustle the bewildered Hellcat owner into a ‘double or nothing’ stake.
Safe to say, things didn’t go as planned on the second attempt, and we’d love to know how much HP that pickup is really putting down.
Some say that it could be around 900 to 950 HP at the crank and that may very well be true. You’d need a lot more juice flowing than what the Hellcat has going for it in order to propel all that weight the Chevy Silverado carries around.
Maybe next time, these guys will check what’s under the hood of the cars they’re supposed to face, even though they may appear harmless.
