Ultimately, we ended up liking what Dodge did with their ‘Dodge Law’ campaign, so turning all that into a sort of full length trailer with bonus scenes was a logical next step.

You know the story. There are some things you just “don’t do in a Dodge” and that’s where Detective Richard Rawlings and his CGI monkey (which still looks like a bear) partner come in.

So if you’re into eating fancy pastries, wearing yoga pants, driving way under the speed limit or paying too much attention to your complexion – while driving something with a Dodge badge, you’re screwed buddy. You have failed your city! Or at least your local Dodge dealer. Hope you got that ‘Arrow’ reference though.

Either way, the “trailer” is nicely put together and it really feels like you’re looking at an upcoming parody. Plus, every time we see Rawlings put that croissant in the evidence bag, we can’t help but laugh. They really should have kept that scene for the ‘Break-Fast’ spot.

Of course, there’s no telling if we’re ever going to see these guys again in future Dodge ads, especially since some people seem to think it was a very silly way to promote cars such as the Charger, Challenger, Durango and Dart.

Still, don’t knock it till you watch it.
