Aside from the much anticipated Focus RS and the new GT, Ford’s also had other highlights worth mentioning at its Geneva motor show booth.
The new Edge S, for instance, which is to arrive in Europe “later this year” and in fact premiered at the Swiss venue, the Mondeo in Titanium X trim, the Kuga Titanium S, the S-Max S, the EcoSport S or the Focus Red and Black Editions.
Of these, the Edge should be familiar by now, even if you’re from Europe. The model will come to Europe with two versions of Ford’s 2.0-liter diesel engine (180 PS and 210 PS) as well as petrol engines nobody will really care about. What people will really be into is the undeniably American look, something Euro Fords usually lack.
Of the others mentioned here, the S-Max S gets a bespoke body kit that includes front and rear bumpers plus skirts and is complimented by different 18-inch alloys; sports suspension and other desirable options are added too.
The Focus Red and Black Editions get unique color schemes (that also extend to the 17- or 18-inch wheel options), a “styling kit,” and generally lots of contrasting colors.
