These are the first photos showing the Renault Clio RS Trophy in all its glory. Scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show, Renault Sport’s latest toy has been uncovered on a forum, where a seemingly official photo has been posted alongside another that looks like a screenshot from a video game.
From what we can see in the photos, the Clio RS Trophy gains new alloy wheels like the ones teased by Renault last week, as well as details similar to the Clio RS Monaco GP Edition. The second photo likely shows the more accessorized Trophy-R version sporting red and black body graphics and larger multi-spoke alloy wheels painted red. The car also appears to feature a lower ride height.
There are no official details about the Clio RS Trophy, but the car is expected to be a more extreme alternative to the standard Clio RS hot hatch, much like the Megane RS Trophy is compared to the Megane RS.
We can only speculate that Renault Sport will give the Clio RS Trophy more power and track-focused components, including a manual gearbox, which many fans have asked for since the Clio RS launched exclusively with a double-clutch EDC transmission. The good thing is we only have to wait one day for the official debut, scheduled for tomorrow in Geneva.
