What are said to be scans from official shots of the next generation Toyota Fortuner hit the web alongside a cropped pictured of the SUV’s front end.

While not offered in Western markets, Toyota’s rugged Fortuner is a very popular model in a number of Asian countries, especially in Thailand where the current, Hilux truck-based version is built.

The pictures portray a more modern looking design for the 2016 Fortuner with a sharper face, which may remind some of you of the Lexus RX, and a more heavily sculpted profile.

Little else is known at this point for the new model, but it’s speculated that Toyota will introduce it before the end of the year.
