Now this car, the Phiaro P75 Concept Cypher, is a track day lover’s dream, the apparent cross between an Ariel Atom, a BAC Mono and/or a KTM X-Bow. It’s that style of car, and if you like the three other names, then you’ll definitely like this one that was revealed at the Geneva motor show.
It’s a open-top two seater that gets its power from a 1.5-liter engine producing 142 hp, hooked up to a five-speed manual gearbox. Obviously not a big number, but the car compensates for the lack of power through lightness: it weighs just 596 kg or 1,310 lbs.
Phiaro is a Japanese company started way back in 1939 that does automotive, motorcycle, transport and industrial design for third parties.
They say it’s “a message to the next generation,” but won’t say when and if this car will ever be made in any kind of series production.
