Reading Jeremy Clarkson’s latest article from his The Sun column, I wonder to whom or what he’s referring to when he talks about dinosaurs: the BBC, as everybody has come out to say he has, the Top Gear show or… himself?
It really makes sense any which way you want to take it, and now we learn that Clarkson’s two colleagues allegedly held him back from striking (Oisin Tymon, the producer) more than once.
This information, brought to you courtesy of the Mirror, does not help Clarkon’s case at all, leading us to believe that his loose cannon attitude is more than just a character created for the now defunct but long-running motoring/entertainment show.
The source reads: “Jeremy Clarkson’s Top Gear co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May were forced to grab him during the alleged attack on a show producer, a source has said.”
It seems the four were the only people to witness what happened. Jeremy hit the producer, the two co-hosts ran to stop him, then they stayed with the victim as Clarksonius Rex retreated to the bar.
Interestingly, Oisin Tymon doesn’t want Jeremy thrown out of the BBC’s back door, but rather he have anger management counseling; that’s quite a nice thing of him to say, but it obviously won’t affect the broadcasting company’s decision.
This version of the events, which saw the four being in close proximity as it unfolded, contradicts what James May said earlier. He admitted to being “blind drunk” and that he didn’t really see what happened.
Oh well, we didn’t expect this to be over quite so quickly, so stay tuned for more…
