McLaren Automotive is expanding their retailer network in the Americas with the opening of ‘McLaren Mexico City’, the brand’s 31st global market.
Their new Mexico City-based showroom will be only the second McLaren showroom in Latin America, while also adding to the total number of retailers for McLaren in the Americas – bumping the number up to 18 (14 of which in the U.S, two in Canada and two in Latin America).
The dealership is situated in Santa Fe, DF at Juan Salvador Agraz 65 and will open its doors in May 2015 with the help of McLaren’s newest retail partner, the Herrera Group.
McLaren North America VP Tony Joseph told the press that the McLaren brand is “well-known amongst Mexican automotive and racing fans, so we are excited to make our range of groundbreaking sportscars available to enthusiasts with the Herrera Group.”
As far as their retail network and their global image, this is as good a time as any to grow, especially with the addition of the track-only P1 GTR, 675LT and the world debut of the Sports Series at next month’s New York Auto Show.
Josemaria Herrera Garcia, CEO of McLaren Mexico City for the Herrera Group had something similar to say, adding that “As a nation we have always been very passionate about Formula 1, following McLaren since its early start, and we join the brand at an exciting time thanks to the upcoming new models such as the 675LT and Sports Series.”
With the help of more retailers as well as a more diverse car lineup, McLaren is well on its way to becoming a proper rival for the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini, both on and off the roads.
