Qoros’ 3 City SUV is not really an SUV, but basically a taller crossover variant of the hatch. It’s actually not the only car of its type to debut at the Geneva motor show as we also got to see the Infiniti QX30, albeit in close-to-production concept form.
As the manufacturer states, “the Qoros 3 City SUV is perfect for urban cruising and country driving, offering generous space, more control and an exciting driving experience.”
Since we mentioned Infiniti here, perhaps it would be wise to note the very different approaches the two manufacturers have: Infiniti is selling a posh lifestyle with the QX30, whereas Qoros’ description of its (similar) vehicle is far more vague and generic. That’s not bad, but it’s really understated compared to the Infiniti and their other rival, the Mercedes GLA.
Oh and the Chinese manufacturer also showed off a concept that’s basically the same shell as the production car, but without doors and some slightly flashier and techier bits stuck to it.
It’s meant as a showcase for the second generation of the QorosQloud connected services platform (infotainment OS to you and I). It will debut in production later this month.
