The 20V20 is Seat’s Geneva Motor Show concept car and it previews the brand’s first crossover model, schedule for production in 2016.
If you ask Seat officials, the 20V20 “combines the dynamic styling of a sporty four-door coupé with the elegance of an SUV and the versatility of a compact”. We’ll agree with the Spanish firm on the sporty styling aspect, but at the same time, we’ll keep our final judgment until after we see how the production car ends up looking.
In concept guise, the 20V20 is 4,660mm long and rides on a 2,790mm wheelbase standing 228mm above the ground. Seat added that it offers an impressive 600 liters of luggage space.
It utilizes the VW Group’s flexible MQB platform found in various models ranging from the VW Golf and Passat to the new Audi TT. According to the automaker, it can be equipped with all type of engines, ranging from the high-performance TSI petrol and TDI diesel motors to plug-in hybrids. “At the same time, a DSG gearbox transfers the engine’s power to the wheels and it features electronically controlled four-wheel drive,” said Seat in a statement.
