While the 2015 Geneva Motor Show has come and gone, we’re still reeling from watching some of those amazing new cars that broke cover. Such is the case with the monstrous Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV.
One thing that was missing was seeing the SV’s “Launch Control” potential, which by all accounts, should be legendary.
Thanks to Auto Bild, we can witness the Italian Raging Bull do its 0 to 100km/h (62 mph) thing where it only takes it 2.8 seconds hit the mark. Even though the road was somewhat wet, the Aventador SV didn’t seem to have any sort of problem putting all of its 750PS down.
Apart from the increase in power over the standard version (by 50-horses), the SV is also 50kg lighter, all thanks to “extensive lightweight engineering solutions” – which translates to extensive carbon fiber usage.
Flat out, this thing will do over 350km/h (217mph) easily, but right now we’re more interested in its hypercar-like acceleration off the line, which looks completely unspectacular – but that’s the way it should be.
Spectacular means you’re losing grip, if the car starts to wiggle left or right the moment it starts moving forward. Instead, this was a very clean getaway. And you can tell that about a split second later, this thing is really moving.
