Smart announced in Geneva that now offers the option of a double-clutch gearbox as well as new customization options for its hip city cars.
For the first time in its segment, the Smart fortwo can be specced with a six-speed double clutch gearbox, dubbed “Twinamic”. Available only with the 1.0-litre 71hp petrol engine, the Fortwo Twinamic accelerates from 0 to 100km/h (0-62mph) in 15.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 151km/h. The combined fuel consumption is rated at 4.1lt/100km while the CO2 emissions reach 94g/km. The additional charge for the Twinamic double-clutch gearbox is set between €1.000 and €1.275 in Germany, depending on the trim level.
Smart has also announced the “Brabus tailor made” individualization program that will provide a virtually endless variety of options to those who wish to completely personalize their Smart Forwo and Forfour. From special paintworks, like the really bright “break orange” of the displayed Fortwo to nappa leather trims for the interior, Smart wants you to know that they have covered, no matter your taste is.
