Smart has unveiled a new special edition version of the previous-generation ForTwo Cabrio built in collaboration with Moscot, the New York City-based eyewear manufacturer.

The Smart ForTwo Edition Moscot will be built in a limited run of 100 units, all sporting a black and yellow body. The bodywork combines glossy black body panels with the matte yellow tridion safety cell that features a matte black accent stripe.

The door mirrors sport the same color scheme, while the Brabus Monoblock VII alloy wheels are painted glossy black and feature a yellow ring on the rim flange.

Other exterior upgrades include titanium-colored headlamps, a Brabus front spoiler lip, and the Moscot label in the mirror triangles.

Inside, the black and yellow color contrast continues on the seats, knee pad, instrument cluster and door panels. Additional highlights include contrasting top stitching on the three-spoke leather sports steering wheel, as well as yellow rings on the shift lever knob and the ancillary dashboard instruments. Exclusive “Edition Moscot” floor mats with nubuck leather trim complete the interior changes.

The limited edition ForTwo comes equipped with “The Lemtosh Smart” eyeglasses in coordinating colors, as well as “The Moscot Smart Drive Package”, which includes three clip-on sun lenses which can be used by the driver in all weather conditions.

The limited edition two-seater Smart ForTwo Cabrio is offered exclusively with Brabus’ 102PS (101hp) turbo petrol engine mated to an automated five-speed manual transmission with kick-down function. The model also gets a sports suspension with a 10mm lower ride height and a fully automated Tritop fabric soft top with a rear window made of glass. Prices start from €29,524 in Germany (including 19% VAT), with deliveries scheduled for early summer.

The model debuts today in Milan at the “Moscot 100-Year Anniversary Party” held at the “Officine Del Volo,” but will also be on display at the Geneva Motor Show.
