The news today are all about the entry-level McLaren 570S, a junior supercar set to go against cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo and Audi’s R8 V10.
Automobile Magazine published this quick video tour around the baby McLaren, showing a much more appealing shape than the first photos suggested. The 570S is capable of 0-60 in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 204mph, promising to be the most usable and easily accessible McLaren in the range.
McLaren will introduce also a detuned version of the same model, dubbed 540C, aimed specifically for the Chinese market, with -you guessed it- 540ps instead of 570 later on in Shanghai.
Although nothing official yet but the McLaren 570S is expected to cost around £140,000 in the UK and in the region of $170,000 to $180,000 in the U.S.
