The Nissan Sway concept, recently revealed at the Geneva motor show, promises a much more interesting-looking next-gen Micra. If it really does preview the supermini, then in production clothes, it could look something like this here rendering.

The excellent work of Theophilus Chin, it really looks like a funk city car that is as striking to look at as a Mazda2 (currently the most striking-looking in the size class). That will certainly get it noticed, although all the manufacturers are playing the styling game nowadays, so by the time it comes out, the game will have moved on too…

Even so, compared to the dreadfully dull current Micra, a step down I think from its somewhat quirky and overtly feminine predecessor (no negative connotation there) – at least that car had some character, whereas the new Indian-manufactured one is deeply uninspiring.
