If you read my older post on the 928 GTS, you’d know that Wimbledon Green is one of my favorite Porsche colors; it looks even better on a 964-gen 911.
However, the reason why this 1994 Porsche 911 C2 caught my eye on eBay wasn’t the color but its super-low mileage at 8,739 miles (14,061 kilometers), which comes out to an annual average of around 420 miles (~675 km).
From the few pictures shared on the listing, it looks like it’s in excellent condition cosmetically, something that was mentioned in the description:
“Rare Wimbledon Green over Black Leather Sport Seats,” writes the seller. “Only 8k Miles. Flawless Pedigree, 100% Original. RS America Rear Spoiler was ordered on car new, have second flat deck lid still wrapped in plastic and boxed from Porsche. All Books, Records, Keys, Tools, Pumps, etc etc Included. None Finer Available. Car is a 10, still smells new.”
The rear-wheel drive 964 Carrera 2 has a 3.6-liter flat-six rated for 250PS or 247hp, which might not sound much, but don’t forget, it had a curb weight of 3,031lb or 1,375kg and according to Porsche, could hit 60mph (96km/h) in 5.5 seconds.
You’ve probably figured it out already, but this gem will cost you two arms and a leg; at the time of posting, the highest bid was $82,100 without having met the seller’s reserve.
