There are quite a few superlatives about the 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography that has been unveiled at the New York Auto Show.
Replacing the Autobiography Black at the top of the lineup, the SVAutobiography is the most luxurious Range Rover ever made and the first flagship Range Rover model built by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO). It’s also the most powerful Range Rover ever, as it offers an optional 550PS (542hp) supercharged V8 engine specially tuned for SVAutobiography. It’s the same engine found on the Range Rover Sport SVR performance SUV.
Another first for the flagship SUV is the duo-tone body color option, which combines a Santorini Black upper body with nine other color choices for the lower body. Other exterior upgrades include new Range Rover bonnet lettering, SVAutobiography badge placed on the tailgate and a distinctive front grille finished in Graphite Atlas and polished chrome. Additionally, on models fitted with the optional 542hp V8, quad tailpipes are also featured.
The interior features premium leather and unique trim finishes in solid aluminum and noble wood. Rear-seat passengers get luxurious seating, a chiller compartment and powered deploy-able tables. Solid aluminum coat hooks are incorporated into the rear pillars while aluminum seat rail finishers and deep twist pile mohair carpet mats add to the special ambiance.
Available in standard and long wheelbase variants, the Range Rover SVAutobiography goes on sale from summer 2015 along with the updated Range Rover 2016 model year lineup.
