An ad allegedly showing the Asian-market version of Toyota’s new 2016 Hilux truck together with a spec sheet have surfaced on the web.
We can’t vouch for the authenticity of either, but in regards to the photo, we’ll note that it does look to be in line with the prototypes we’ve seen on the road and the scoop shots of a production model from inside Toyota’s factory.
As for the sheet that appears to be for the Indonesian Thai market 2016 Hilux (any translations will be welcome) it says that the Japanese pickup truck will offer four engines including:
A 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel delivering 150PS (148hp) and 167PS (165hp), a 2.8-liter turbodiesel with 177PS (175hp) and a 2.7-liter naturally-aspirated gasoline four-pot producing 166PS (164hp).
All powerplants are offered with both a manual and an automatic transmission.
The next Hilux is expected to be introduced later this year.
