Along with the scantily clad booth models, you can now wave goodbye to children at the upcoming 2015 Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition that runs from April 22 until April 29.
According to the show’s official page, organizers cited security reasons for not allowing children to visit the premises of the event, without, however, elaborating further.
During a press conference on Wednesday, reporters asked the president of the Shanghai International Exhibition, Gu Chunting, about the ban in place for “hot girls” posing on cars.
Chunting said that the “ban is aimed at focusing public attention on elements of the auto show itself, such as technologies and products, as well as the motor industry’s development and innovation” adding that most automakers support the move, according to China’s Ecns.
Nevertheless, industrial insiders told ChinaDaily that dealers would probably try to get around the ban by hiring models “receptionists” or “sales consultants”.
Now, if only they could ban those clones…
