This is the only Ferrari F40 LM Barchetta in the world and before starting asking questions when Ferrari did chop the roof off this poor F40, let us inform you that Ferrari had nothing to do with it.
It started its life as a ‘regular’ F40 LM, raced among other by the famous F1 driver Jean Alesi in Laguna Seca. The car ended up in the hands of Belgian-born car collector Jean Blaton who was racing under the nickname ‘Jean Beurlys’ who proceeded with the conversion of the car.
The F40 LM Barchetta was filmed during its visit on a track where apparently there was a bigger filming involved. According to the uploader, the only open-top F40 in existence now makes 940hp from its tuned twin-turbo V8 and weighs just 800kg. The last known power figure for this car was 760hp.
