The Audi A8 gains some minor updates for the MY2016 in the UK, including more efficient engines and new trim levels.
You can now select the A8 in a new Sport spec which replaces the Sport Executive level of the outgoing range. The new package includes a sportier exterior, courtesy of the S-Line treatment on bumpers and side skirts and a set of 19-inch wheels. The new Sport trim is available only on the standard wheelbase version and features MatrixBeam LED headlights, a 600-watt Bose sound system and Wi-Fi hotspot among others.
The entry level Audi A8 SE now gets double-glazing glass, Valcona leather upholstery, a 180-watt sound system, all-LED headlights, HDD navigation and the latest touch-sensitive generation of the MMI infotainment system.
The 3.0-litre TDI engine now makes 258hp from 254hp thanks to an update which also improves its CO2 signature, now emitting 149g/km from 155g/km. The 4.2-litre TDI V8 still makes 380hp but the CO2 emissions have also been improved, now rated at 189g/km. The rest of the petrol and petrol-electric engine line-up remains unchanged with the flagship A8 using the same, gargantuan 493hp 6.3-litre W12.
Available for order now, the new Audi A8 Sport commands £65,825 with prices starting from £58,585 in the UK.
